Education is the most powerful tool one can use to change the world.
Professional Growth.
My journey to becoming an elementary school teacher has been marked by reflection and continuous improvement. Through professional development opportunities, such as workshops on integrating literacy into science and participating in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), I have refined my instructional strategies, classroom management, and student engagement techniques.
Collaboration with colleagues has been instrumental in my growth, particularly in analyzing student data to inform instruction and address learning gaps. By incorporating strategies like differentiated instruction, flexible grouping, and hands-on learning, I’ve effectively met my students' diverse needs.
As a member of the Washington Education Association (WEA), I have gained valuable insights into classroom management, inclusion, and fostering social-emotional growth. These experiences have enhanced my ability to create engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for all students.
