A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it isn't open.
Educational Philosophy.
My teaching approach is rooted in constructivist theory, emphasizing meaningful, real-world learning experiences. Inspired by theorists like Vygotsky and Dewey, I engage students through activities such as planting seeds for science or sharing personal narratives in language arts, fostering collaboration and inclusion. I love to see the light in a child’s eyes once coming to an understanding on their own through the process of discovery when doing project-based work.
I prioritize problem-solving skills to prepare students for life’s challenges. I encourage critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork by using inquiry-based and collaborative learning. Assessments include hands-on projects, self-reflection, and goal-setting to empower students to take ownership of their education.
Building positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and administrators is essential to creating a supportive learning environment. Through open communication and collaboration, I aim to inspire and guide students to reach their full potential while contributing to the broader school community.
